Cordelia's Colors
One of three featured here and lovingly displayed at Lifescapes’ offices, this 8’ by 6’ watercolor was painted by Cordelia Brinkerhoff in July, 1981 when she was 80 years old for her first born son, Donald Carl Brinkerhoff, our Founder.
She encouraged Don to get a job at a nursery in El Monte, California when he was 16 years old. Don favored the design aspect of the nursery business, and enrolled at Cal Poly San Dimas (now Cal Poly Pomona) to pursue his interest in landscape architecture in the Fall of 1948. Thanks, Cordelia!
