The Orchid Garden, where all World-class Design Masters gathered 

At age 80, a world renowned Master Landscape Architect, Donald Brinkerhoff had just departed Hangzhou, returning to his office in the States. The very first thing he did was to call his staff members from the US in his Hangzhou office, to ask their opinion on how was the Greentown Orchid Garden project turned out. To the Master, leaving behind the Orchid’s from the East was something [that] would be missing [from] his life. There are rarely any Chinese developers [who] would hire a world renowned designer [for] world-class hotels to develop residential communities, except for the Greentown.

Donald Brinkerhoff and his design team are working out of their headquarter office in Newport Beach, California. They are famous for the boutique hotels landscape architecture and design, such as the Wynn Resort and Casino, Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, as well as some very high-end residential communities in Las Vegas. Lifescapes have completed over 350 residential projects and over 40 world-class resorts all over the world.

Under the leaderships of the founder, Don Brinkerhoff, Lifescapes is able to maintain its good reputation since 1958. All these years, Lifescapes believes ‘Beauty is Success’ as its motif for success.

Mr. Brinkerhoff says: “Thousands of year ago, the Eastern gardens first appeared in the West. We will try to implement classical European gardens back to the East. The Orchid Garden’s covered walkway, landscape axis, and water features are incredibly unforgettable. They have shown the true great essence of the European gardens…”
